Job Title: Chief Lecturer (Library and Information Science)
Salary Range: CONPCASS 09
Requirements
- Doctorate (PhD) degree or Master's degree from a recognized University in a relevant discipline with at least 12 years post cognate experience or 15 years for Master's degree holders;
- A Substantive Principal Lecturer from a Polytechnic or similar TVET institution with not less than one year of experience on that rank;
- Evidence of scholarly publications in reputable Journal as well as presentation of invited papers at educational conferences, Seminars and workshops;
- Five papers read at national/international conferences/seminars;
- Four papers/articles published in reputable journals;
- Five meaningful chapter contributions in standard textbook(s) or two standard textbooks; not beyond 2021;
- Registration with relevant professional body, and Evidence of Community Service.
Job Title: Senior Lecturer (Library and Information Science)
Salary Range: CONPCASS 07
Requirements
- Doctorate Degree in a relevant discipline with at least 6 years of teaching/research or industrial work experience plus three journals and four conference/seminar papers.
- Or a Master's Degree with at least 9 teaching/research or industrial work experience. Such a candidate must have published a total of three conference/seminar papers, three journal articles accepted for publication, or contribution of two chapters in a standard textbook (s) not beyond 2021;
- At least a substantive Lecturer I who spent a year or more on that grade level from a Polytechnic or similar TVET institution
- Registration with a professional Body.
Job Title: Lecturer I (Library and Information Science)
Salary Range: CONPCASS 05
Requirements
- Master's Degree plus at least 6 years teaching/research or industrial work experience and two journals accepted for publication plus two conference/seminar papers or a Doctorate Degree in relevant discipline plus 3 years teaching/research or industrial work experience plus two journal publications and five conference/seminar papers;
- At least a substantive Lecturer II who spent a year or more on that grade level at a Polytechnic of Similar TVET institution;
- Membership of a relevant professional body is mandatory.
